Tercio's give automatic rear support to themselves, correct?

Is that always, like when they are so smashed that they are 1 element away from autobreak or whatever? They still give auto-rearsupport?

Yes, Tercios are automatically self-supporting, although Late Tercios can lose this if they have enemy to their rear.
