bad weather abuse for recons ?

Bad weather is really an ally for recon (when you play first in the turn)

I think it's not very realistic to send most of our aviation to recon areas for the next turn without any risks if it rains or snows
patch 1.10 improve because you don't see at all by bad weather but the next turn you see lot of things and you can avoid AA

Reaching the nearest airfield could be much more realistic, but I don't know if it's programmable. Perhaps i will use that like a "house rule" for myself

Excuse me if the subject is treated, I've read a lot in this forum but I'm late (because only from July) and there is looooot of litterature to read !

Yeah, I was never a fan of this mechanic, unfortunately there's no real way to deal with this within the limits of the game engine. The one thing that could work, if it could be programmed, would be to make it so that a plane automatically loses 2-3 strength points when not next to an air field in bad weather. The penalty should be severe enough to make sure the player wants to keep the planes back at the air field.

It'd be awesome to be able to allow more modding, especially unit traits, combat rules, and weather effects,

The game is plenty of abuse. What about the best time for sending airborne troops is on bad weather? Who the hell sends paratroopers on bad weather? :D
