Hi, just prototyping a few counters
Being engraved you can wax the text in for a higher viz
any comments/preferences? anything else required? 2" restricted zone?
My plan was 3 colours , 5 of each in a set

If you are having colours the I suggest standardising them so that the visual impact of the colour comes through. A simple traffic light system such as red=broken/routing, orange=fragmented, yellow=disrupted/disordered, green=charge!
Reading the word 'broken' engraved on the urine coloured counter is nye on impossible at my age. But if I see a red counter (for example) I know that bad stuff is happening (i.e. bg is broken/routing).

the plan was using the florescent colour yellow (disr) , green (frag) and orange (broken). You can't really miss the orange one !
The only problem is the difference between yellow and green is slighter than I'd like. That means going back to 'flat' colours

I had the same problem when
developing my counters and came to the same conclusion as you have.

Agreed this works well on the table but after some testing I ended up with black/red/yellow/green:
Oh and waxing the text works best with an oil pastel available from most art shops for about £0.50. Wax crayons are really hard work.

I don't know of anyone who thinks green is worse than yellow. I have seen many variations. But the pattern people always seem to use is "hotter" colors seem worse. Except for black which can end up anywhere.
Also having see the semi clear plastic from another manufacturer I find the colors unhelpful and the style more space age than classical. This sounds rude and I apologize but i wouldn't use the neo colors it just fits with NOTHING else on the able.

I would suggest not having a green and a yellow to mean different things,I'm colour blind and would not be able to tell them apart, red, blue yellow or white are fine but any similar ones will always be a struggle for me
