Recon Move Trait for aircraft

Can the recon move trait be assigned to aircraft :? ?

The Storch is already in Elite Units (as a bonus unit) and I'm going to add in the FW-189 as an upgrade for it

I think it would be cool for them to have the ability to have the recon move trait,beings that I'm putting them in as "recon" aircraft (their stats are so low that recon is all they will be really good for),but b4 I do it I want to make sure there are no ill affects by giving them the recon move.

Thanks in advance for any help

***********edit*************

Just thought of a 2nd question

I would like some input from the community........

The Storch and the FW-189 are both in the Tacital Bomber category so they can be escorted by fighters.

Should I make them purchaseable or should I leave them as bonus units?

This what Ive done for the Bf-110E3 and Ju-88D recon aircraft featured in PzC East :)
Didnt tested it but why should it not work ? There never was mentioning that the trait would be not functional in certain classes so
I assume it will work in any class

Storch was less of a recon but an orderly plane carrying post,officers and in the very early war used for some Tac Recon since the Luftwaffe had air superiority...as well it was used for weather checks but less as Recon penetrating enemy air space to find enemy ground formations
FW189 was a Tac Recon too but more able to deal with enemy fighters as it had such incredible maneuverability that it could fly circles around any allied fighter plane :)
Long range Strategic Recon Groups in the East however used long range planes like Bf-110E3 and Ju-88D

Thanks on the heads up Chris on the recon move trait

I know about the Storch being a laison aircraft (but when the Luftwaffe had air superiority they were sometimes used as arty observers),but att the time it was the only thing I had to use that was unique and not confuse players.

The Owl is one of my favorite aircraft of the war and very much overlooked

I'm trying to keep on using "unigue" icons so that they stand out for the player and the player can identify them at a glance and besides,my mods aren't played on the scale of your great wip,they are played on the tactical/operational scale of the designers.

What I wouold really love to see is the Condor :shock: ....now that was a recon bird :wink:

Thanks again for the help Chris.

yeah..being a 4 engine freighter plane It really could have been further developed to be a heavy 4 engine bomber but the basic design was not modular so a decentralized production of different plane parts in different fabrics was not possible
Modified it was used a naval bomber and long range naval recon though but it was never mass produced.
Churchill called the Fw 200 the "Scourge of the Atlantic" due to its contribution to the heavy Allied shipping losses.
Longest known flight of a FW200 was just 4 minutes short of 16 hours

I'm sorry, it doesn't work if you assign the movement type as recon.

You can fly a plane over a city and capture it.

Ok, der trait funktioniert nicht so wie bei Bodeneinheiten. :roll: Aber was anderes hab ich auch nicht geschrieben.

Aber was geht ist:

move => attack => move
or
move => move => attack
or
attack => move => move

3x move geht nicht
und Städte "einnehmen" geht auch nicht (Fighterclass)

As I said... It doesn't work if you use movement type.

I said nothing about the trait.
