Some early suggestions

Hi!
I really like the game so far!
Was about to post this and I just received the news of the update. Nonetheless, some quick suggestions:
visual
- weather: clouds were moving a little too fast. half the time I checked my city was wrapped in shadows
- units in general: should be smaller in size (in comparison to cities, hives); infantry in particular is too big
- colonizer: indistinctive, bulky design. better coloring of the platform would make it more distinguishable and interesting to look at
- colonial troopers: look very cool, but are a little too big. a slim build would fit their role as early LIGHT infantry. change default color design, the green-yellowish is hard to distinguish
- transport ship: indistinctive design
- roads leading away from the city simply fade away. dead ends for more realism and better looks! (roads have dead ends, thats just the way it is)
- city architecture: boasts several ad signs - choose brighter colors for more contrast
- city architecture: buildings are concrete and grey. a more futuristic look would suit the scifi setting
strategic
- landscape: mountains should give sight range +1 for land units. equally, mountains should limit land unit sight until a certain tech level is reached (hi tech vehicles could be assumed to have radar or satellite feed and be able to see beyond mountains)
UI
- UI windows (research etc.)
- implement close button.
- pandorapedia: tech-tree
