But before I do I just want to have someone say that I based them correctly. The bases themselves I used Warhammer fantasy modular trays and cut them three 20 mm squares wide by two 20 mm squares deep. I put one cannon and crew per base, three Calvalry per base, and eight infantry on each base four across two deep. This is correct when using 20mm models I believe.

Yes, all good. As I did a load of Russians myself recently, I hope you like painting green.

here is the first base of 1812 Russian Musketeers. I like these guys as I used the minis in the Italeri set to make them have a "fire and advance by line" look to them.

Very nice paint job. If you need any advice on what to use for Russian cav figs, I can give you some tips on simple mods to other nations cav. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
If my eyes were not getting so old I might have expanded my own 1/72 scale collection, but have opted to go 28mm plastic as its easier to see now.
My old Russians were also Italeri, I used a mix of the shooting and loading guys 2 to a base for skirmishers. Now I mount 3 figs to a base for lights.

Thanks. Working on the other 5 bases for the unit right now, taking some time but work just started up after summer break so its eating into my time. As to cav I am sure I can use the ones I got and give em a good paint job, but I am liking the prices of Hat industries atm. Got some men in the mail and if the details are nice then I will buy some more cav from those guys. If they can't get infantry looking ok, well, I dont hold much hope for models on horses....
