Excellent news Hammy, I'm up for your new favourite period. Do we know if AM v2 will be out then, it might be interesting to offer that on 1 day.

Also, are there any hotel deals this year?

I will check on hotel deals. I have a feeling that if there is a deal it will be with the Britannia which is about 10 minutes walk.

As for AM V2, if it is out then I will certainly consider putting it on the list.

Can people who are planning on attending please let me know. I am trying to get an idea of how many FoG:R players there will be and if there is any scope for themeing the comp.

3 Games, 650 points, 5' by 3' table, 2 1/2 hours a game.

At the moment there is no theme but I am very happy for there to be a theme, it is really up to the players in the end.

not sure if there is to be a theme but I would if there was one like an early theme, Italian Wars types.

Once I have a better idea of who is interested I can check with potential players. I can probably field at least one and more likley two or even three Italian wars armies in 15mm that I would be happy to lend out.

With just over a week to go, do we have any idea of:

Numbers for Fog R. Is it viable on both days or just one?

If it's just one day, which one and what's available on the other?

Is a theme viable? If so, what is it?

At the moment there are 6 FoG:R players for Saturday and 3 for Sunday. If that remains the case then I could play FoG:R on Sunday and get us up to 4 which would work nicely.

As for a theme assuming the above it might make sense to go with open on Saturday and possibly an Italian Wars theme or open on Sunday.

Thoughts?

Sounds good. I'm happy with any theme, Italian Wars would be good but it would be helpful to confirm the available armies asap.

We've had some talk of doing a theme for this, probably on the Sunday, based around the French/Italian Wars. I have 2 suggestions:

1) War in France and Italy 1494-1561

Maximillian Imperial
German States
Trastamara Spanish
Italian States
Italian Wars Venetian
Early Henrician English
Swiss
Caroline Imperialist
Later Henrician English
Later Venetian

2) War in Western Europe 1494-1561

All of the above armies plus:
Scottish
Border Reivers
Irish
Anglo-Irish
Peasant Wars (Great German Peasant War only)

Armies to be constrained by the dates 1494-1561, no allies from outside the theme. Either we can agree on one of these, or consider any other options people may put forward.

Cheers,

Kevin

Once again thanks to Hammy for organising this and to all 6 of my opponents for fun games. It was great that we had enough people to run both days with nobody having to play an opponent twice.
