The Venetians are not having a good year...

Venetians set up with entrenchments across their front, with gaps to canalize attacks.

The French set up fairly conventionally, but face the gaps with their infantry.

The Venetian light horse advance to slow down the French, and hopefully cause casualties or distrupt them over time with artillery fire. The French artillery is better, causing casualties on various Venetian units.

The Venetian light horse in the center has been run off. The Venetian stradiots have run off the French Stradiots. The French advance, and the Venetian foot Xbows come out of their entrenchments to push on the left flank.

The left flank Venetian arqubusiers come out of their enclosed field to shoot the Swiss as they march by. This manages to disrupt the Swiss, and the Venetian Gendarmes take that as a cue to charge the Swiss. The Venetian mounted arqubusiers are broken by fire and rout. The Adventurier shot closes to a fire fight with the Venetians behind their entrenchments. The French Landesknechts continue their advance, totally impervious to the Venetian artillery fire. The French stradiots charge the Venetian mounted xbows and a long scrum begins. The right hand Venetian arqubusiers take a huge chance and come out of their enclosed field to shoot up the French Gendarmes, who have charged and driven off the Venetian stradiots. The Gendarmes however, shrug off the shooting.

The Venetian Gendarmes break into the Swiss and break them in short order. (Must be those Gruyere Swiss that are so nortorious). The French mounted arqubusiers actually try to charge the Venetian foot arqubusiers, but are smartly seen to, and are forced to break off. The French Gendarmes and archers charge the Venetian arqubusiers, who hold, barely.

The victorious Venetian Gendarmes are in turn attacked by the Italian Gendarmes in French Pay. The impervious Landesknechts are finally charged by the Venetian Gendarmes, who hope for big dice. The Venetian stradiots try to intervene against the French gendarmes, who are still fighting the venetian arquebusiers. The French 'archers' have broken off, apparently because the foot wasn't worth their time. The French stradiots and Venetian mounted xbows continue their melee.

The Venetian army sort of goes 'poof' and vanishes in a cloud of casulaties. The Venetian gendarmes are broken by the Italian gendarmes by causalties. The aventurier shot breaks the Venetian arqubusiers behinde thier entrenchments by casualties. The Venetian mounted xbows are broken by the French stradiots by casualties. The French Gendarmes beat off the Venetian stradiots, and finally break the Venetian arqubusiers by casaulties. The French gendarmes follow this up by pursuing through the enclosed field and over running the Venetian artillery. The Landesknechts handily repulse the Venetian Gendarmes.
