Help!!!! I just bought fog and it will not load

I updated my video card, re installed, updated FoG,and made a new bald spot on my head form pulling my hair out when it did not work

I'm running window 7 64 bit.

Help Juls.

Can you please post the error message you are seeing, and details of the point at which the game fails.

Thanks for your reply. There is no error message. The program loads to the first screen, the one with the options to register cancel or click on ok. After clicking on ok the program looks as if is going to load, but then it crashes. When I first installed the game the I had a flickering screen, so I updateded my video drivers, field of glory, and restarted my computer. The flickering screen went away, but now it will not load past what I described to you. I also uninstalled FoG and tried to reinstall. The next thing I will try is to redownload the files and do a clean reinstall. My guess is that I have corrupted install

Please send any suggestions.

So the game initially worked (but with flicker) but has now stopped working entirely?

Can you please post your system specs too.

Thanks for the reply. I have 64 bit asus windows 7
computer

Duel quad core i7 processors
1 gig ati mobility Radeon HD 5870 graphics card.
4 gig ram
Windows 7

A very sweet machine. Anyhow yes the program worked with the flicker. I'm restoring my computer to a earlier date.
It seems as if the program runs out of memory. I also attempted to run in in a compatibility mode vista, xp ect. But to the Same result.

I did a system recovery, reinstalled video drivers, and it worked beautifully. My guess is, It was a driver conflict. I have not updated FoG yet.
