That is what I am writing - a guide for the rest of us that need cartoons, pictures, arrows, you name it!
Raise your hand if that applies to you (too)!
While I cannot use that exact phrase that is how I would title my document. BA Scripting for Dummies!

I'm sure RF900 would be delighted to explain his awesome code to achieve the Merge Wounded Units and Swap Positions commands, and Enric & I would be happy to explain everything we've figured out about Squads.csv... Steal and share from

I learn a lot from examples and reading code, it helps a lot if it has good comments. I am afraid my code is not very clean and I should write more comments, but if you have any questions about the merge or swap command let me know.
For me it is hard to be in a position of a complete beginner, programing knowledge helps and the BA script engine is very flexible and quite easy to understand. The complexity for me comes when dealing with specific elements of the engine, mostly inner functions and custom data formats.
If you are able to understand the code the best way to learn IMO is looking at something that is working similar to what you want to achieve, search for that code and then alter it.
