What does it mean? Extra prestige?

Extra prestige. Message should also inform about it when received.

Can we somehow explain the meaning of these hexes? For example:
- Assign custom hex string, like "1000 prestige" or "Desert (1000pp)"
- Display a message at some point, telling that the player will earn extra prestige for capturing/visiting hexes marked with "$" (maybe when the player sees them first time)

That'll be fine. I ask myself if I miss these places in previous scenarios?

Actually it is not that particular hex in question but town (no flag) adjacent to it. While important informations should be communicated to the player I have noting against some hidden or half hidden extras that reward players who explore the map and use intuition. So in my opinion not everything should be straightforward.

There are two $ signs on that map.

I never got a pop up telling me the prestige I won so, I thought you had to capture both $ signs, as there is one down South.
