game pegs CPU when I go to the edge of the screen to scroll

I have an issue that appears to not have been reported previously. On my Lenovo X220 laptop, when I go to the edge of the screen to scroll (especially if I move the mouse fast) the game sometimes stops responding and pegs the CPU (CPU usage goes to 25% and stays there on my quad-core processor). Sometimes a small crude black/white scroll bar part is drawn on the screen when that happens. The only recovery is to kill and restart the game. Any ideas? Thanks, yours, Martin

You're right, that's new.
Are you using an external mouse?
Do you have more games installed? If yes does this only happen with Panzer Corps?

That seems not to belonging to the game.
You could also open the Windows event viewer and check the Application log in the Windows logs. Try to see if there's an entry with an error for the hour and the day that the last crash happened.

Thank you for the instant reply. I am not using an external mouse. No other games are installed on my work laptop. Below is what I found in the Application log. I did find a workaround: if I set Scroll speed to slowest the problem never happens.

That Lenovo X220 seems to have a Touch Screen. Is that so? Are you using it when playing Panzer Corps?
Could you please try with an external mouse and set the scroll speed to normal?
I'm asking you to do this because we need to know if ht issue is connect with your input device or not.

My X220 does not have a touch screen but rather just the normal laptop touchpad. After attaching the external mouse and scrolling wildly and all scroll speed settings I could not reproduce the problem. Actually, after disconnecting the mouse, I could not reproduce the problem even with the touchpad any more. I'll report back if I ever re-encounter the problem. Thank you for your help!
