By no means do I want to pester you, but is it possible that the Polish edition will be this summer? I'm still waiting for it, but if it is to be e.g. delayed as far as autumn then I'd rather buy it off the internet here. I'd be grateful for any info you can give, however imprecise/uncertain should it be.

Hi Iain,
I see you say that you, Slitherine, are publisher for UK.
I bought my copy from matrixgames.com UK, I was unaware you sold yourselves. Shame. I wonder if that tells you anything?

Matrix has its own fan base and we have ours, that's why we find local partners around the world, as they can sell to people we would not otherwise have access to. matrix is a slightly different situation because it is an online retailer, the same as our site and both are really global, but you still tend to get people sticking to the areas of the net the are familar with. If you mean we haven't done much advertising then that's because we're focusing on print magazines & websites in the UK and the ads are not out yet. We don't want to try and steal customers away from Matrix by advertising on the same websites as them - they are our partner.

Don't know if it's a good place to ask, but do I hear correctly that the version downloaded from Matrix is larger in terms of file size than the one from Slitherine? Are they different in any way?

They are exactly the same game - the only differnce are the installer/launcher.

Dear Iain,
I respect totally what you say, and don't want to clutter this post with junk (sorry if I am).
Obviously you know your business plan, and all the best wishes. For me, as a member of a software house, I regard "dealers/distributors" as below estate agents on the slime scale, mostly like those hairdressers etc. in
The Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy
All I meant was, had I realised I could buy direct from Slitherine, I would have done so. And you would have had more of my money.... From my posts elsewhere, I think you also know this would have been a better idea anyway.

Speaking about releases - from the silence I assume that you still can not confirm Polish release but maybe you can disconfirm it so that those who wait for it would stop and just buy English version?

We sent a potential GM for Poland over to eeh publisher so it will definitely happen but I dont have any dates on that yet. When we find out we'll let people know. It will probably be another month or two though by the time it goes through manufacturing etc.
We hope to have news about Italy & Germany very soon too!

Thanx for the news Ian, so it seems CEAW may be a nice Christmas present.

Hi!
I have a friend who wants to buy the game in Sweden, but does not want to buy it online. Is that possible? Any Swedish store that sells it?

I haven“t found any, though Webhallen (
www.webhallen.se) have the item listed but not in stock. Not even at stock at the distributor. I bought my online.

We do not have a publishing partner in Scandinavia at the moment so online purchase is currently the only way.
