Initial Thoughts

I was a big SC2 player and modder and from this background my inital thoughts are:

1. The scale is perfect.
2. The interface and overall feel are fantastic.
3. At this scale, paratroop/airborne units are needed.
4. Fortification of hexes should be an option during the game. (No individual engineer units though)
5. At the very least, the starting OOB should be moddable.
6. No weather effects?
7. Germany should start with Rundstedt, Leeb and Bock.
8. UK should start with Wavell and Gort.
9. France should start with two or three commanders. (I don't have my reference in front of me right now)
10. Minor nation commanders should be avaialble. (Poland - Sikorsky, Yugoslavia - Tito, etc.)
11. Atomic Bomb!
12. Armor should be allowed to exploit one extra hex after they move into a hex they have just conquered.
13. The map should be moddable.
14. Diplomacy should be added.
15. Specific events should trigger certain units. (Waffen SS after Paris, Oslo and Kiev fall, Croatian Militia, British Home Guard upon invasion, Free French units, chance for French, Dutch, Danish, Polish and Belgian naval units to go Allied after surrender)

A great start though.

Good thoughts. But we should differ between useful and needed extras and too much micromanagement.

I support you in some points and we definetely need:

3. At this scale, paratroop/airborne units are needed.
4. Fortification of hexes should be an option during the game. (No individual engineer units though)
6. No weather effects?
12. Armor should be allowed to exploit one extra hex after they move into a hex they have just conquered.
13. The map should be moddable.
14. Diplomacy should be added.

Espacially the fact that we have no diplomacy is a very big dissapointment. And we also have no diplomacy effects!! Why is it not possible to influence other nations. Why does the conquest of north africa and the middle east does have no effect on Iraq, Persia or Spain? Why can Germany declare war on everybody without an reaction of the usa etc. etc.

And also the weather is an absoulte must have !

Next point. Where ist the "Atlantikwall", "Stalin line", "Westwall" etc. The option to build fortifications is needed.

No Marine Invasions!! No battle on the beaches. We can just ship our soldiers to the coast and thats it?

Dont missunderstand me. I think the game is great. But the best thing with this game is, that it laid out a great base for further developments. Right know i feel like i am walking into a huge room with just a chair and a TV in there. Helloooooo!!!!! Here is soooo much more room in here ! ;-)

Please fill it.

Fireball.

Hi guys
I agree with both ... at this scale Diplomacy is a must, even if there isn´t any diplomacy system for players at least there should be reaction to things you are doing over the map... USA remains peacefull even when Germany invades UK¡¡¡¡¡.

Thanks - great feedback. We agree with you on most points but we wanted to create a well polished game with a restricted number of features rather than have a buggy unfisnhed game with everything in. This is definitely a base point for us to start from and we look forwards to seeing where we can take it.

Great to hear! I cant wait to see this game to became the best world war 2 simulaton ever. I am just curious to see if you will implement a lot o fnew features via patch or if you will create a part 2. ;-)

Game balance and Bug fixing is the primary objective for patching but we will of course consider new features if there is a great demand for it.
