Hi There
Has anyone any pictures of 15mm Swedes from old glory.
Would they fit in with Essex figures in the army.
regards

Firstly; remember everyone has a different idea about mixing figures. Beauty in the eye of the beholder and all that jazz.
Sorry I don't know about the Old Glory Swedes or the Essex ones, but I can make a comparison between my Essex 15mm Bavarians and my Old Glory 15mm Saxons...
Like all Essex figures, I find my Bavarians "well fed" and a bit short; but not dwarf short.
My Saxons on the other hand are taller and leaner, however they are not "starving" like some of the Chariot figures (IMHO looks great for ancient armies and their British good too!).
Another difference is that Old Glory mould the saddle work to the mounted figure, where as Essex normally has the figure separate and the saddle work on the horse.
I wouldn't have them on the same base, but I mixing in the army... if you went Essex for the infantry and Old Glory for the cavalry (or vice versa), it shouldn't be noticeable, I'd consider doing it.... unless some 'no-life' picks up two bases and points it out for the whole club/convention/world to hear.

Thanks for the answer. BTW I like your Bavarians. I only wish Essex did swedes.
Finding figures for Swedes is itself a bit of a battle.
However onwards and upwards.

Hands up I have a Russian Cuirasier Division painted just waiting for an Austrian Infantry Division but trying to find some good Swedish Infntry figures now thats a problem.
Should I not get them it'll have to be a Prussian Division.

Minifig used to have swedes. Don't know if they are still around.
Also generally i find old glory size wise fit with essex. But old glory tends to be very animated and leaning a lot where essex is closer to parade ground.
