Conforming again

Anothoer one from last night:

A BG of legionaries having routed a BG of men at arms and pursued a couple of MU turned 180 to react to a possible threat from another BG of men at arms who had been threatening their flank before the pursuit.

Essentially the situation looked a bit like this:

Code: Select all

           11
          1122
         112233
          223344
AAABBBCCC 3344
DDDEEEFFF 44
The legionaries were not quite in possition to flank charge the men at arms so instead hit them on the flank. The impact was drawn and the legionaries should then in theory have conformed. In this case they couldn't because of other troops but had they been able to they would have swung round about 135 degrees and the end of the legionary BG would have moved a huge distance.

I don't think there is much that can be done about this as the conforming rules normally make sense but again it was something that could feel rather strange if it happens too much.
