Can't agree more - give those Tigers a run for their money. It was used towards the end of the war from early 1945, may be we could have post 1945 campaign or even a Korea one or Okinawa- I did start modelling one, and even went to the tank museum at Bovington to see one, but have got side tracked with an exporter for Fragmotion, which is proving very very time consuming.

I'm most definitely not an expert, but were any actually deployed in the timeframes of the battles in the game? I guess we could build some battle for Berlin MP missions

.
Cheers

According to the always reliable Wikipedia

only 20 reached front line units from the end of Feb 1945, but they did see combat.

Big thing is its a game....and thats why other games have used these tanks...kinda levels the playing field abit...and its fun to play with the heavys.

Just like why you have seen IS3's and such as well..

We could definitely add them as a MP unit, I'm just pointing out why I guess we didn't build them

. I'm sure the interweb would be ahowl with protest if we had them driving around on D-Day

.
Cheers

Hi racketyjack
I don't believe its working, but it would be cool to see it chasing the Tiger around the display grounds
Link to photos I took @ Bovington for reference

Just spotted this in our local paper about National MTV Show and weather permitting have blagged me a visit, instead of watching the football.

Gentlemen, I've modified the Meeting Engagement map to give you new ways to level the odds to kill those Tigers... Essentially it's the same awesome map... Sorry still no Pershings (yet)... But combined US/Brit Allies now get access to 17 pdr AT gun (instead of the feeble 6 pdr), Sherman Fireflies (closer to Panther but not quite there), and up to eight transports (to set the smoothest of ambushes)... More info on
viewtopic.php?f=87&t=35532... It's a first attempt so might not be perfect, but would really appreciate any feedback so I can fix/improve. Thanks! PS. Sorry I bailed last night Mike. Thought you'd taken a break, and way past my bedtime back in Blighty. Looking forward to continuing. Your superscout is on roll!

I have found the fastest way to ruin a great game is to let the folks that demand reality be in charge....bring on the Pershing ...let fun rule the day!!!!!!

Ah screw it - let's give the Allies some M-60s. Then at least they have something that can take on the German heavy armour...

It's in the ballpark for the time period, right?
I'll see if we can drop in a Pershing model at least for Modders to use. I doubt that Richard hasn't made it yet in his non-stop creation of new assets (entirely to make me look bad).
Cheers

Just watched a WW2 video of Pershing stalking and killing Panther. So Pershing saw action . How about one for a what if scenario.

Clash of Armor is winnable. Now the last time I said that I was challenged to a game (it turned into 2 games) where I was the Allies and I got tarred and feathered.
However,....I am able to win as the Allies more than half the time.
I must have played Clash of Armor 50 times before I found some tactics that will win. (at least most of the time

)
I was determined to find a way to win,...so once I did win as Allies,...I was jumping up and down.
Same for the Desert Fort scenario. I never thought there was a chance that the Germans could win.
I lost over and over and over again. I also played as Allies to see if anyone could beat me,..and no one ever could.
But again, I was determined to try and win as Germans.
Then I tried a tactic that has helped me win 10 games in a row as the Germans.
It's all about tactics,...and the person you're playing.
There a great sense of satisfaction when you win a game as the underdog.
The greatest underdog battles are still remembered today,..because no one expected them to overcome immense odds,...think Battle of the Bulge.
I would like to see an Eastern Front version of this game.

Pip - M46 Patton tank is actually the one that replaced the Pershing so go with that one.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M46_Patton
Mounted a 90mm gun.
M60 came much later.

I know - I was being a little facetious in choosing something that would be able to stand and fight with the German heavy tanks

. I think the clamour has calmed a little now that people are realising that, like most things, it's the quality of the commander that really counts.
Which is bad news for me on the battlefield, but good for the game
Cheers

You too?
I am very good at two games:
1. Give away chess
2. Forgot what the other one was!
