For Windows Vista users who are having problems running Spartan, please download this dll. It is part of DirectX, which does not get included with Windows Vista. Unzip and place the dll in the game folder, or if this does not work, place it in the windows\sysytem32 folder.
need help with this what game folder is it talking about i tryed to open it i see a code where do i put it

The game folder is where you installed the game to. By default it would be something like Program Files\Slitherine\Spartan, though may vary depending on which version of the game you have. To check the exact dir, right click on the desktop shortcut and ask for properties and it will show you where the exe is. Put the dll in the same dir as the Spartan exe.

Who's mad?!
Copy the dll to the same dir as the exe and it should be fine.
C:\Program Files\Slitherine\Spartan\

You dont type anything. You must download hte Spartan Vista patch from
http://www.slitherine.com/downloads/spartan
Then put the dll from the patch in the Spartan dir.

1) Download the zip
2) Unzip the dll file to a temporary directory
3) Copy the dll file to C:\Program Files\Slitherine\Spartan
Thats all you need to do
I'm not sure what else to say!

it is trying to open with WinRAR archiver
do i need to make a folder then put it in there or how do u open a temp. dir

You can make temp directory - it is just a temporary directory you create by right clicking and saying "New folder". Alternatively open the zip and just drag the file to C:\Program Files\Slitherine\Spartan\

when i try to open the zip file it says
C:\user\xhold0utx\desktop\newfolder\d3drm.dll
The archive is either in a unknown format or damaged
