Just needed some clarification. When you have two commanders that overlap their sphere of influence the beneficial effect is actually the average of the two. So you can actually do yourself a disservice by putting a great commander next to a worthless one. Is this correct? Why would anyone want to have a low grade commander then - unless it is for a lesser front?

No. The best leader will apply. In the vanilla game it was the average, but we altered that in GS.
