BRITCON LIST DISTRIBUTION COMMENCES..........

I now have a list of 10 intial entrants so far from JD. I hav seen posting about numerosu other likely attendees. Richard will be repesntingt he team int he competition. I will be running the comp and umpiring.

I have sealed the lists this morning in their current form. Some are in the new format and all must be kept confidential to yourselves, please do not discuss the new formats or form on the forums. Any comments privately to me please

So if you have entered, just read the rules on the BHSG website (go down about 5 items of news and there is a link right in front of you with the announcement of the period) and send me a mail at siathedgecroft@aol.com. I will get 3 lists back to you within a matter of days.

If you haven't entered then all you have to do is GET ON WITH IT AND ENTER!!! :D :!:

Should be a great event.

I am looking forward to it and James and I plan to play out a couple of FOG historical refights on the side. Any special requests?

Zama might be interesting & is reasonably well documented.

Manzikurt could be interesting (or not if the reserve line doesn't come into play!) but would probably need a special rule for the subordinate not cooperating.

Yes, that James remembers that hs is part of the team running Britcon and so won't have time to play ...

Otherwise - Qadesh ...

I know that...

I was rather hoping that I might be able to find the odd hour here and there to try to get a game in. After all there is a lot of time while games are being played by everyone else and as Si is umpiring FoG there shouldn't be too much umpiring to do :P

Well we both are Nick, but I figure that during the event we should be Ok for a bit of fun on the side....one and off between jobs.

Matt will be there too, so he can take over if James has his responsibilities to deal with!!

Oh, there is still work to be done, I'm afraid. You're the junior member of the team aka "Teaboy"

Alas I am the FOG organiser only - tea will have to be provided by other services I'm afraid ...... happy to pull pints in the evening if that helps!! :-)

Tim, and any one else who submitted more than 3 days ago, please resend to siathedgecroft@aol.com.

Apparently I was incorrectly on the BHGS members list as @bitinternet.com which is not right. and now corrected.

Sorry if that has caused any confusion to anyone trying to contact me.

Next distribution will be Monday.

Hi Si - JD has confirmed my entry but I'm still mulling on my 3 lists.

Do we get all of the associated allied contingent lists too?

I tried using your email address but it bounced?

Cheers

On allies am sure you understand that it takes a fair bit of time to put together 3 lists per person and send them all out individually.

3 lists can have dozens of potential allies.

Most players focus more on core troops and less on allies in FOG.

My approach will therefore be in 3 phases:

1. I will send out the 3 lists requested first
2. You then decide any allies that you want to give serious consideration to
3. Send me a request for these and I will send them on as a follow-up

Of course if you are pretty sure at the outset then just tell me at the beginning. Hipefully this will keep the numberof allies I need to send out down to about 1/4 of the full potential number.

Thanks for your help with this.

Cheers

Si,

If there is not enough people for 25mm DBM at Britcon, then I shall change over, as I am doing this weekend.

Having just sorted out my 25mm Sassanid army I would like to use it once this year.
