GL88's first glitches with Open Beta - swap sides during MP?

Pip/Iain,

Gents, Have played a few games further through and hit a few niggles...

There's a rare but interesting issue where an MP game suddenly swapped sides at Turn 11: Was playing as the Allies, snuck into a few lovely positions, and (for the first time ever) was slightly up on units versus the Germans. Strangely turn 11 came back as my turn, but showed a German (not an Allied) flag at the bottom of the screen. I could see all of the German units, but only my own (Allied) units that were visible to the Germans.

I ended the turn without moving anything and explained to my opponent... He passed the next turn back... Turn 10: I can still see all of the German enemy units, so I thought, what the heck, let's try to move a few and see what happens... Screenshot below shows that enemy units could be moved, including the King Tiger, but none of my own (Allied units).

My opponent & I agreed to end and restart. Resignation (apparently as the Germans) triggered an "Objective Completed" report (still thinking me Allied I think?).

Looks like a crazy once off... Any ideas? (Map = Street fighting redux)

There are also some occasional Line of Sight problems... The first is "solid air"... The jpegs below show two examples where there is "no line of sight" on a target directly opposite diagonally; one is one space away, the other two spaces away... Frustrating because my opponent had just tapped my scout, grrrr... NB. this was an earlier turn from the game where sides swapped from Allied to German at turn 11. (Map = Street fighting redux)

There's also the opposite of "solid air" where sometimes trees can be shot through... Two jpegs below show a US ranger unit able to fire on a German scout (note the label "HE Effectiveness" rather than "No line of sight")... Alternatively, the ranger could fire on a German tank (note the label "Out of range" rather than "No line of sight")... in both cases through multiple squares of thick forest... This seems to work in either direction, because the Panther and the scout were both also able to attack me through the layers of forest... I only realised it was possible after they shot me first... Justice but ouch darn it, lol :-)

I'll let Phil look at the MP issue. On the LOS issue can you press the 1 key to give us a display of what tiles it thinks are in line of sight and screenshot that. If possible run in debug mode so we can see the cursor coordinates of the tiles that are causing the issues.

Thanks Iain, I'm running BA on Ipad 2 so there's no keyboard/debug mode. Blathergut and I terminated our first game (Street fighting redux map, with the change of sides and "solid air" problem) at 18.10 June 5th if you can access it? Enric and I are still playing the second game (Meeting engagement redux map, with the see through/attack through trees) last modified June 5th either 20.44 or 20.51 (sorry, unsure which because we're playing one as Axis and one as Allies, it's Enric's turn so I can't access to check). I'll PM Enric to see if he's running on a PC and can get you that info...

Iain, Enric's also reported this on viewtopic.php?f=90&t=34604&p=328302#p328273, so it looks like Pip's dealing with it as a probable "non blocking forest tile"... thanks guys! :-)
