help.. update needed but not allowed!!

an error occured whilst trying to open an ftp file!! this is the message i keep getting when trying to update time of fury. i've down loaded patch ..but it tells me i still need to. 
please help ..i'm not much of a computer expert..when i first bought the game , it kept crashing in tutorial, ..so thought i'd give it a few months for bugs to be sorted ,but still an 'unexpected error occurred' in windows
