...Dear Slitherine, can you please update "Commander \: Europe at War" so it can work with "Windows Vista", it works on my old computer with "Windows XP". All computers sold now come with "Windows Vista" installed. Thank you. Customer John.

Hi John, we have tested Commander on a number of Vista PC's and it has worked on all except one, which was a laptop. We are not sure at this stage whether the problem is related to the laptop or Vista, as laptops often have issues running games anyway.
Have you tried it on a Vista machine? If so, how did it go? The more feedback we get the better. Thanks!

quote"All computers sold now come with "Windows Vista" installed." yes but still not everyone is going down that path quiet yet, like myself anyway im going to give it a wide birth until a few more bugs & better drivers have been worked out Vista isn't all its cracked up yo be a yet, its slower than xp for games and needs more cpu and memory to even get near to an xp machine, yes more bells and whistles but nothing that adds anything to games other than dx10 who hardly anyone is writing for yet anyway, so stick with xp as you at least no the drivers and all games work with it for now, get Vista when needed, which isn't this year...
oh and the game Commander looks good, can't wait to try/play it.

I would advice anyone to stay away from Windows Vista for the next 1-2 years if you are buying computer for playing games. I have a brand new Laptop Vista machine myself, with drivers problems, and it cannot run any games (not just Commander!).

I play Commander just fine on Vista Ultimate 64.
I had to let it run as administrator, but once I did that everything performed flawlessly.
