Cleaning, general maintenance of the computer

Hello All
I have had a few problems with my computer recently. In particular the fan.
I should mention this to all players it is very important to clean the inside of the pc. Some cotton got caught on the fan which crashed the computer in the end. Now if your fan overheats your computer can go kaput, in particular the motherboard.
Well that was what I thought was the problem, when i heard a bit of rattling. However it had continued and so I guessed that the fan's bearings were beginning to falter.
They were about to and so now I have had a new fan placed in the pc. A bit of a hiccup at the beginning. Think that is teh case for most new things.
Anyways was informed to clean pc every 2 to 3 months (especailly as I use it quite a lot). Also if not in use for a few hours turn everything off and switch on when you are going to use it.
