VOTE: To surrender or to fight until the bitter end?

Guys,

Have been suffering a few games ending prematurely (which I'm told is likely due to unexpected resignations after opponents make brilliantly clever and complex moves).

Does anybody else become really peeved to spend several moves, sometimes over days of turn swapping, to finally have the enemy just within my sights... but then the game ends. ARGH!!

Sure I've played games where I've felt brutally crushed and been hugely tempted to hit the eject button (Monty in the desert and Rommel in the marshes, you know who you are!). Early on, I did actually resign two games (sorry guys).

So, the vote is... Should players try to fight on (type FIGHT) in the hope of reinforcements (or miracles)... Or should we surrender when it starts to hurt (type SURRENDER)?

Me, I'll keep FIGHTing. =)

I vote for surrender.
BA is like chess when you have lost a (or several) fundamental unit, or you drop to a wrong position, the game is over (if you are playing agains an equal opponent) so resign, and go for another game.

I feel this is a situational question to answer. But my answer is: It depends.

There have been times that I'm down to my last man/tank,..but I want to see how much damage/kills I can inflict before the end of game, or I get annihilated.

However,...I've been on the ropes one too many times,...and like any good commander do,..they should read the writing on the wall,..surrender (read total retreat) to fight another day and save your troops from total annihilation.

I played one guy that would not give up even though he was on his last tank,..and I still had 15 tanks and there were 10 turns left.
In that instance,..I really wanted him to surrender.

Just some thoughts.....
