Weeeeeeell it looks like someone at Matrix Games was either on the wrong side of the date line, or perhaps a bit to aggressive about getting the news posted :)

As a result, a few individuals saw a few things a slight bit sooner than was anticipated hehe.

There's a lesson to be learned I suppose.

The internet never sleeps, and people are constantly watching.

But Ian told me I could freely blather on about the game this morning, so Les is off and running now, blather coming to a forum near you :)

The game runs out of the box just fine as far as I know (does for me at least). But keep in mind, there hasn't been a perfect game release this century. Even Korsun Pocket, which was much lauded even in mainstream, has a number of patches.

But Commander isn't a game I would call a buggy clumsy released too soon disappointment (that would be another game you were thinking of :) ).

I'm looking forward to Commander becoming a near iconic wargame. I see a good future for this design, and I see potential for spin offs.

But for those out there getting all worked up over the minor confusion from a few poorly synced release messages, come on, get your priorities in order, focus on the game.
