We are very pleased to release the latest codes of our "15mm" (really 18mm) Thirty Years War line:

German/Central European Dragoons or Light Musketeers, Skirmishing
Image

German/Central European Dragoon Horseholders
Image

Imperial General Officers and Aides (clockwise from upper left: Wallenstein, Aide de Camp, Tilly, Aide de Camp, Cuirassier Kettle Drummer, Graf zu Pappenheim, and Junior General Officer in breastplate)
Image

Yes, we know that Wallenstein has been painted without his trademark goatee. That will be remedied. :)

We'd like to express our appreciation to Daniel S. for his help with the original sources in tracking down proper dress and equipment for the general officers, particularly Wallenstein and Tilly, whom Daniel has discovered did not wear armour in the field, according to eyewitnesses. Daniel also provided exhaustive details on what Tilly did wear -- his famed coat can be seen on the back of the model, draped over his back. We have provided Pappenheim with a cuirassier kettle drummer rather than an aide because of his reputation as a cavalry officer and his close association with the famed Black Cuirassiers in Spanish, Holy League and Imperial service.

All available now. And coming within a few weeks -- European Cuirassiers with closed helms (barred/savoyard/Totenkopf helmets).

Quite cool. Are TYW Spaniards still in the pipeline?

Great looking figures. Can not wait for the new Curraisers. Really hope that you do other armies, and with Daniel Stabergs help you have a real authority on what they should look like. Your range promises to be the most accurate of the TYW ranges avalable.

Keep up the fantastic work.

William

In fact the very next thing to be made is Polish light cavalry for the Catholic side (light horse, as there are existing Croat models I thought I'd make Lisowskys or similar just to give the gamer more choice). Although someone who knows more than I may also be aware whether Polish light horse served the Protestant powers in Germany as well, I get the sense that they did not, as Poland was Catholic.

But after them, yes the Spanish will be made. In fact the closed helm cuirassiers were made in part to cover Spanish (or should I say "Spanish") cavalry, which were in reality often Italian or Walloon. Then there will be some mods to the Imperials to make Spanish foot, as well as some all-new models. I think the Pica Seca, the Spanish unarmoured pikemen that made up a large number of their tercios, will need to be new. Spanish foot did have some fashion differences from the Germans but they will be easily covered by modifications -- I've got a list of things that need to be changed.

Swedes and French much further out on the horizon, the Spanish I'd like to get right to as they often took to the field in allied armies with the German catholic powers.
