My son just bought me Great Battles of Rome, It keeps crashing with a message, could not source filter to graph direct show texture 3D9 sample.

windows XP, CPU 2.66, 1GB Ram, Nvidia Geforce 6600.

Have you checked the system requirements and does your graphics card meet them? You may find you need to download the latest drivers for your graphics card.

What is your operating system, your machine specs and what graphics card do you have? If you post your DXDiag results it woudl help us to identify the problem.

That sounds like it is having problems displaying the movies. They all use default installed windows codecs, so that shouldn't be the problem - but it might be worth checking you have Windows Media Player installed to see if that helps. You might also try installing the latest version of DirectX for you machine.

As Iain says, let us know what Operating System you are using, and your other machine specs and we can try and help more.
