Field of Glory Events for Historicon 2012

Thursday

Field of Glory: Ancients Small-table Tournament

Each player should bring a legal 650 point army from any published FoG:AM army list book. Games will be played on a 5’ x 3’ table with normal size terrain. First round pairings will be random. 15mm only.

Round 1: 12:00 – 3:30
Round 2: 4:00 – 6:30
Round 3: 7:30 – 11:00

Field of Glory: Ancients Open Tournament

Players can bring up to two versions of one 800 point army list, although both must use the same and geographic restrictions. Games will be played on an 6’ x 4’ table. The tournament will be run in 15mm for sure, and in 25mm as well if sufficient players show up. 25mm players are encouraged to bring a 15mm army as backup, and to contact the GM to express interest.

Round 2: 2:30 – 6:30
Round 3: 7:00 – 11:00

Field of Glory: Ancient “Average Joe” Theme Tournament

Players should bring one version of a legal 800 point list from any published FoG:AM army list book. The catch is that no player can use more than one superior or elite battle group (bring as many poor BGs as you please). The tournament will be run in 15mm for sure, and in 25mm as well if sufficient players show up. 25mm players are encouraged to bring a 15mm army as backup, and to contact the GM to express interest.

Round 1: 9:00 – 1:00
Round 2: 2:30 – 6:30
Round 3: 7:00 – 11:00

I thought you like 900 points, not 800. That's what we've had the last few tournaments at the major cons isn't it? Be nice if you could up the total for the Friday tournament. At any rate, love the Average Joe tournament idea. Might even now be able to bring Thematic Byzantine.

I like 900 points just fine. But I had to submit this a few weeks ago in order to make it into the PEL, and I wasn't thinking about it at the time.
