We've been a bit overwhelmed by the response and are delighted and wanted to pass on what the press are saying about Battle Academy on iPad.
PocketTactics – 5 out of 5 - “In price, content, and execution, Battle Academy is a proud game from another time. And worth every penny.”
DigitallyDownloaded.net – 4.5 out of 5 Stars - “Really, when you buy this game, you’re buying into the excellent, competitive, online environment, and it looks like a healthy community at this stage.”
NoHighScores – “…you’d be hard pressed to find a richer, more satisfying turn-based wargame on the platform.”
TouchGen – 4.5 out of 5 Stars - “Battle Academy is a welcoming but challenging experience.”
StrategyPrime – 4.5 out of 5 Stars - “Probably one of the finest strategy games you can find on the iPad just about now, and definitely a must-have.”
FortressAT – “Battle Academy is…a real game, a proper game…”
Esquire - “…this is the best game we’ve played yet on the iPad.”
Plughead.net – 82% - “A proper wargame! On the iPad!”
PCDome.hu (Hungarian) – “…the ideal tactical casual wargame for iPad.”
SlideToPlay – 3 out of 4 - “…for those of you who are willing to take the challenge, you’ll encounter a highly engaging, absorbing and lengthy experience the likes of which has rarely been seen on iOS.”
BoardGameGeek – 3 of 4 Stars - “Hands down this is the most impressive war game yet on the platform.”
In addition Battle Academy has made it onto the
iPad Quality Index's Top 10 games list of April 2012!

Been playing this for a couple of months now. Just starting to get into the depth of the strategy that you can apply. Definitely the only 'proper' game I've played on iPad. It just works so well with the touch interface. The graphics are good, the music superb and the gameplay is immersive. Nicely sloped difficulty curve and the amount of missions provided compares to nothing else in the app store; add the user content, asynchronous multiplayer and you can see why it is well worth the money.
Well done to the developers.

Only area for improvement is making the scrolling as smooth as the zoom and rotate.. ;o)

If you can be more specific that would be great - it's smooth for me. Perhaps kick off a thread in Tech Support and we can dig down?

So I suppose that if you've bought Battle Academy for pc you have to buy it again if you want to play it on your iPad?
Is that right?

That's is correct. Even if we wanted to, it is against Apple policy to connect purchases outside the Appstore to ones inside.

I think that this is a brilliant game - just what I have been craving since first purchasing my iPad several years ago. Is there an eBook manual for this title? I have searched high and low, but can't seem to find anything other than the introductory tutorial. Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere... Once I get a bit more familiar with the mechanics on the iPad, I will look forward to trying some multiplayer action. Cheers!

Not sure where this posting belongs...
I noticed that iPad players don't have a registration number so it seems like they are unable to participate in rankings.
Is there a way to register an iPad game so to have your account in the forum linked so to having games played online counted for ranking?

That's a good point. It comes down to the fact we can't get info from Apple about who owns the game. We'd need to get everyone to login before it could attach an iPad to user stats, but perhaps that is the way to do it.

Will you be making a version for the alternate tablets, ie Kindle Fire HD, Galaxy, etc? I refuse to purchase Apple products.

Hi all,
BA on the Ipad is crazy addicting. My wife frowns everytime she hears the music! Obviously a hit! This game is the best war game by far that I have played on the Ipad or any other system. Of course there are minor things here and there that can sting but overall this game is fantastic. The developers are really on point and listen to every suggestion. I've never seen better "customer service". Congrats Slitherine on a beautiful game. I look forward to more!

I just wanted to second this...I think it would be very important to get this out on other platforms. Its a great product and you are "Missing the boat" so to speak.
Please have this available on Android by the time you come out with BA2...Please??

Not at the moment - the market for Android apps is just not there yet. Piracy, bad stores, hardware issues etc. We have games on both platforms and sales levels on Android just don't make sense right now.

Ian I don't get it you say your not doing BA Android, but you announced it earlier in the year for 4Q 2012 fiscal?
Just confused dying for this game (and I don't buy Apple products)
