you can get the latest version of the Battlepack here :

Run the installer and enter the serial number you will receive in the mail later today. These serial numbers are unique and private and must not be shared as we can trace them back to who we issued them to.

You must already have a copy of the final released version of Field of Glory installed.

The Beta installs to a new folder. DO NOT install it on top of your existing game.

You can run the Beta as well as keeping your normal version live to continue existing multiplayer games. Any Beta games will be on the test server so not visible to players outside the beta.

Please post all feedback in the beta forum.

Initially we are interested in feedback on the DAG and the armies in it for single or multiplayer. Do you see any bugs in the lists? We'll be adding the battles later so for now focus on the armies.

If you have problems with your personal serial number when using the installer ensure you have not copied any blank spaces before or after the password/serial as this will cause it to fail.

If you are still having problems let us know and we will get you up and running ASAP.

Id like to test but I dont recall any sign up for this. Too late to get an activation?

If you were on the Decline & Fall or Eternal Empire betas you'll be on the list already.

So this is a beta with the DAG content now and battles later but doesn't include DAG content? I think the description in the initial post in the thread needs a bit of a re-write. Are the bug fixes listed as fixed in 1.7.3 included with the beta?

The 1.7.4 beta seems broken. I'm getting the error "Serial Number not registered (Code 5)" when I try to do a DAG game from the beta!

Ian - I am going to pass on this one as it looks like you will get enough guys to help out and it is only pre-made scenarios.

Please keep me on the list for the full blown modules.

I doubt I will buy this battlepack ... as customer I would just prefer to get modules to be honest.

Not sure if Chris has same error but I can launch the Beta and play single player fine, I get that code error when trying to launch MP in the beta.....


Edit, just to be clear: what are we testing this version for ? Just the new army pack battles/scenarios ? You mentioned DAG armies , have these changed or are just looking to have us spot any existing errors in the dag lists?...

The battlepack does not include a DAG it is only scenarios

We know people want the DAG's but we just cant make them until the new version is complete so this is just something to keep you going. Some people prefer the scenarios to the DAG games so this is really aimed at them or to give some new interesting options in multiplayer.

It will only be $9.99 when released.

In case of error code 5, can you please check if you ever changed your serial number?
If you haven't changed it, you should be able to get into the MP fine, if not, try to register your serial here: http://www.slitherine.com/register_serial.php
This page lets you register one serial per game.
If you can't register it, you already have one. In this case, you should use that serial for the game (you probably have to reinstall it).

p.s. you can check all your serials in your 'my page' section in the website.

I have registered all my serials the day of purchase and I have never changed them NOR ever uninstalled the game..... Your not advising to register the Beta serial are you?

No you don't need to register your beta serial.

Batesmotel used the serial tool to modify his serials and I'm assuming his issues are related to that as it works fine here.

If it doesn't work what exact happens? You may be having a different problem to him.

TGM is reporting exactly the same symptom as I''m seeing. I had this issue before registering the SN from the beta launcher and after doing so. As far as I can tell explicitly registering made no difference what so ever.

Let me know if there's anything you want me to check locally on my end. I just sent Iain an email with all my serial numbers that are listed as registered and with my beta SN.

If it makes any difference, I did have the original Decline and Fall beta installed but uninstalled it after the add-on was released. The beta Decline and Fall folder is still there since I had saved armies and games so uninstall didn't remove it. Probably not related but figured I would mention it.

had no problem installing or registering the SN. Played a couple of senarios and so far have not had any problems.
