Korean Campaign

Seems to be some interest in making a Korean War campaign. A majority of the Communist and UN units from PzC carry over for the 1950-53 conflict. I'm going to work on putting together a few unit ideas that would be needed to make it historically accurate(US and Russian Jets, few new UN ground units). Anyone please feel free to add suggestions or unit designs.

Few possible unit ideas, P80 Shooting Star, British Centurion Mk 3 tank, US M40 arty. The North Korean Units would be an easy fix, just change the camo color of a few late model Soviet units in the game and add a Mig-15.

Do you intend to create a campaign? :)

I figure I will once I get all the units complied. I dont know the first thing about creating a campaign, so it'll be a slow process! lol

Nice work with that P80, particularly. A Korean campaign would be cool indeed.

Hey, r u still working on this mod?
I would be really interested in playing this.

And I would like to offer some help, if you want it.
I could do some research on the campaign/scenario's, create some maps or units.

No reply...
I guess if I want to play this, I'll have to make it myself :(

Well then, if I can make my own wishlist, I'm thinking a really BIG map of the entire Korean peninsula, to play the whole war in one massive 'scenario'.
With triggered events for the Chinese & Soviet support, UN reinforcements etc.

Has anyone tried something like this before? Any tips?

I realize it will be a lot of work. Some of which I don't know how to do (yet). Anyone interested in this project?

Unfortunately all anyone is interested in is WW2 ad-nausea. There were several attempts at cold war WW3 games that came to nothing also.

Unfortunatelly thats the big Problem the roundbased gamecomunity has. WW2 againe and againe and againe.
I"m very interested in a korean campaign but i dont have time to really help.

But maybe this helps, on the peoples General Website

http://www.pegww2.net/Pages/install.htm

is a pacific variant which contains a corean war campaign where you can grap informations from.
There is also a corean game at hps games but is 39 Dollars.
Glad to see from time to time a designer who is breaking out from the never ending ww2 long wave.
Please keep us updated .

I don't know much about the Korean war, but the scale of movement up and down the peninsula several times over would ensure your grand map got a lot of use. It sounds worth a go.

Oh , now i see this Project is from 2012 !!!
One more started and not finished Project, really sad.
Glad we have our Peoples General, cold war, idf and post ww2 campaigns, even though the graphic is outdated.
Fortunatelly there is also hps squadbattles.
After the dissapointment with the Panzercorps cold war Project
and the ugly flashpoint campaigns i"m sure we will never see a good roundbased cold war Project anymore .WW2 forever. :(

Easier to make WW2 because it actually happened, so the maps, units and stories are there for the taking. Much harder to build a hypothetical campaign.
Too bad, it would be cool to try out all those modern weapons and planes. There are a few cold war mode for the Civilization series, but you have to do the city building, production also.
Well at least I not alone in my wish...maybe a few more thousands of us and a company would actually make the game.

Sorry, unit production and development is a timestealing and boring Thing even though the civilisation graphic is good.
