SU-122(r) with Range Hero

I have not encountered this, but if one of the captured SU-122(r) artillery/Anti-Tank units gets a hero with a range of +1 while in artillery mode, will this transfer over if you change the mode to AT?

I have had 88's with range hero's and it only effect the AA range not the aT range.

Maybe. The StugIII, with a range of 1, still has to be adjacent to enemy unit to attack. However, it is not subject to counterattack. Your AT range is 0, and would only be 1 with the range +1.
1 is better than 0, because of this freedom from counterattack.
