If people have heard of Panzer General then they most likely would have heard of Fantasy General. This was a great game with a huge number of missions. This could be a very doable remake along the lines of Panzer corps but using the Fantasy setting genrey. Some of the classic games are very well done.

Played ita bit long ago, it was fun. Dunno if there's a big market for a modernized release a la PzC though.

Pretty sure this didn't sell all that well in the first place. I would get it if it was not very expensive (like $15 or $20) but I would rather see more Panzer Corps stuff first.

A Fantasy Corps and a Star Corps would be most welcome.
But before we still need Pacific Corps.

Agreed...I would love to see a comprehensive Pacific War game based on the Panzer Corps engine released, complete with year-by-year DLCs.

Me too. FG, SG and PacG were all great. Even my wife got hooked on FG!! It was a rush. Still play it sometimes, on my older PC.

How was Star General? I never played it, but read some reviews later saying it wasn't good. However, something with battlestars or mechs could still be fun...as long the lasers make cool sounds

I loved Star General.
I liked that you had to clear the space around a planet before you could land troops.
Then you fought a ground battle to control the planet.

Star, Fantasy and many more genres would fit this turn style of play.
Would love a game engine like the scale of Steel Panthers.

Star General was a good game. I think it got a lot of bad press because it was such a different genre than WW2. I'm sure that there would be a demand for a sci-fi version of PzC.

Personally, if I had to choose, I'd prefer a Star Corps than a Fantasy corps. There are more fantasy games than sci-fi, specially strategy and TB.

Historical stuff for me. World War I, Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, you name it.

I know the original Fantasy General is freeware. (legal)
Not sure if I'm aloud to put another site in the forums?

It might be available to d/l but I highly doudt its "legal", any more than Age of Rifles, also by SSI. My guess it would be frowned upon to post such links....

It's legal
Star General isn't free but pretty cheap.

Abandonware is a grey area. We would prefer you didn't post links here, just in case someone is still holding the Copyright and got annoyed about it. I'm guessing it is very easy to find if you want it...
Cheers
