Gday all Im thinking of running a tournament for Pacific Region players only.All players will start with 600 pt armies from Rise of Rome lists and will be the best of 6 rounds. Scoring will be 2pts for win 2 pts for looting camp . 25 ton 50% casualties 2 pts 50-75% casualties 4 pts 75% to 100% 6pts. Any one interested let me know ? Looking for about 8 players if possible. I am also open to suggestions on scoring etc.

Hello Turk, I am obviously not in your time zone but I have come up with a scoring system that I would like to see tried in a tournament. Maybe you will give it some consideration?

Win - 5pts
Draw - 2pts
Defeat - 0pts

Bonus pts
+1 for sacking enemy camp
+1 for killing enemy C-in-C

So your biggest win could be 7-0; your narrowest win 5-2; and you could have drawn matches with scores of 2-2, 3-2 or 4-2.

I am not a big fan of the pts for % losses myself - the key thing is winning the battle. Oh and perhaps you could call your competition "Specifically Pacific".

Thanks for your input Pete. That is a simple scoring method that everyone should have no trouble understanding I will see how many are interested and give it a go . Be easier on the book keeper too

OK Turk. I should have said that drawn results could also produce 3-3, 4-3 and 4-4pts scores too.

Need at least another 2 players but reckon i could run it with 4 and see how things turn out. Leave it until tommorow and then i will post the rules and regulations. I think i will go with Petes suggestion for scoring.
