Does it happen every time you start the game?

Yes. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the game. But it doesn't change anything.

Ok :/

It hurts me to hear. We have a few of this type of issues reported on our Mantis page (bug reporting service). We're working on it, but issues like this take time to track down. We're doing what we can.

Ok. Thanks. Let me know if you need more specific information(s).

A little precision : I was in the beta testing, and I had the same problems.

And it was reported during the beta?

Yes, under ticket #0000183.

Ok, thanks.

Seems as if we weren't able to reproduce this issue or find a solution to it based on the information we had.

But what I heard, it seems as if the issue is related to playing the intro videos. You can try to download and install the CCCP codec pack (http://www.cccp-project.net/) which is a pack of codecs used to decoding video formats.

If you do now want to do this, we are working on implementing so that you may adjust your settings to that the intro videos aren't shown - which should solve your problem.

Thank you for your patience :)

I try an uninstall of the game - install of CCCP codec pack - reinstall Team Assault.

But nothing better :o(
I really hope that the forcoming modification will soluce the problem.

I hope so too – this is very terrible indeed.
Very sorry for all your troubles.

Nothing officially announced as of yet.
But I’m almost 100% sure that the fix for this issue is part of the first patch that is coming.
And according to Iain from Slitherine (posted in another thread) that patch should be very soon.

Hello again,

I just installed the patch 1.2 and add the line "showvideos=false" in config file.
But I doesn't changed anything. The intro videos are not displayed, but the crash is still here, at the same point.

Oh. That's not good at all, I really thought it was the video crashing :/

Does you log still look the same?

What operating system do you use etc? Which graphics card? Do all your computer specs match the criteria for the game?

I've forwarded to the tech people, but engine related crashes like these are always hard to track down since the cause to them can be of so many reasons. Any information that you can provide us with is very useful!

All of this is quite mysterious for me. Let me know if you need more specific informations.

This is a shot in the dark, but couldn't be a problem related with DirectX9? The DirectX9 which comes with Win7 don't bring all files so it's always recommended to install DirectX9 in Windows 7.
You could try to install DirectX9.
Manually:

Or you can also use the web installer version, although I've always use the above version:

It's just an idea.

When does the error occurs? It's after playing the videos?
I too had a "similar" problem during beta, but it was after the videos and before "Team Assault" appear on the screen. The game would CTD.
Than I would restart again and no more issues. Only the first time.
I guess that message is in the error.log file, right?

The problem arrises just after the "Team Assault" appearance, with the "loading" mention. It occurs each time.
