Army Lists

Hi,

I am setting up FOGN resources on the Nunawading Wargames Association website, which includes the downloadable Army List and Label Generator.

What I would like to add there is a usable army for beginning players from each of the main nations (say 800 points). I think this would be useful. Credit would be given to the author of each list.

It would be best if the lists are from an army that has been used a couple of time, rather than just a theoretical list. I am not looking for "killer" armies, just well-rounded typical armies that would suit most players.

Anyone willing to help?

Regards,

Might want to wait till the army list books start to come out. The rule book lists are full of errors. However if you really want to get something out there quickly I suppose some of us could try our hand at some army lists. I still have not quite figured out how to work the Austrians, trying a 3rd army design next time out.

From what I've heard & read the best way to play the Austrians is to leave them in the box.

2nd game tonight with the 1813 Austrians we'll see how we go. They are at least a "challenging" force.

It would be 3x the fun if each list was accompanied with design/tactical rationale and advice from the writer with some battles under his belt. This could include the opponent (or intended opponent), unless it's intended as a competition list.

Hi,

Adding the rationale or theme behind an army is a good idea, especially to help new players.
These are not intended as tough competition lists, but well rounded lists that are reasonable, particularly for friendly games.

I think it would be good to get some out there. They can always be updated or added to when the books come out.

Cheers,
