attacking AI boarding on its own

Hi, another question,

What can I do to have emeny units embarking?

The only thing that I can do now is to put them into ships right from the start.
But I would like to see them going on board on their own (at least the ones that were tagged "attacker")

As an example: I want to create a D-Day scenario where British troops embark in England and go ashore in France - the whole process visible.

Curiously awaiting your answer ...

Sebastian

I don't think you can make the AI board ships (or even planes). At least I wouldn't know any way to do how.

What you can do is:

- pre-place AI units on naval transports in the editor for a certain scenario (like you said)
- trigger AI units on board naval transports to appear at a certain point in a scenario at a certain location (not exactly what you wish to achieve, but may be the only way to get anything close to it)

Hi Bebro,

guess you are right. Maybe the programmers can add this feature? At least for troops already placed in ports. I don't expect units to first walk into ports and then embark ;-)

Background: I am thinking about desinging a short "Campain in a map".
Build a map of Europe, set the number of turns to "99", start with little German troops next to Poland and let the player decide what to conquer and where to go next.
For this kind of scenario, troops appearing from out of nowhere are not a good option.
Because I would like to handle it this way: fight them in time or get overrun.

So if you have "ghost units", it could happen that they appear in your back in a country that you just conquered. Know what I mean?

Best regards,

Sebastian
