Quick questions about the iPad version

After playing the 2 tutorial scenarios and 2 of the North African scenarios on the iPad I have a few questions...
1. How do you quickly select a unit? By double tapping on it? Or,single tapping and holding?
2. Does a change to facing cost AP?
3. What is the Scout command for infantry? It doesn't seem to do anything, I thought it was the same as the Hunt command for Tanks am I wrong?
4. When I get fired upon why are the firing units not spotted for return suppressing fire? Or, if it is an ambush situation would I not be able to at least tell what direction the fire is coming from?
5. This is a Tactics question what is the best way to approach an enemy held Objective I mean I know a mad rush is a bad idea. But do I put Infantry out in front of the Tanks? Or, Tanks in front backed by Infantry in transports?
6. And to go along with question 5 how close to a suspected enemy do I bring the transports before I unload so as not to put the Infantry in trouble right away?
That's all I got for now I'm sure I'll have more questions later Thank You....
