Wurttemberg

Hi all I have a large amount of 20mm Wurttemberg troops and before I start re basing them I would like to know if they will have a list of their own in the army books.
I am going to make 1 bg of grenadiers, 8-10 bgs of foot, 1 bg of light foot, 1 bg of guard cavalry and 3-4 bg of light horse and some art.
I hope I am close to the list

John

The Wurttembergers made up the 25th Division in Ney's III Corps. Wurttemburger Cavalry were included in the Corps' two Light Cavalry brigades.

I suspect that the Wurttemburgers are present in the army book, but will probably need French troops with them to be a 'FOG-N Corps'.

I have info about the 25th Division and the two Cavalry brigades if you wish it.

Thanks for that but if memory serves in the battle of La Soufflé 1815 the Wurttemberg fielded a Corps in the Austrian army (3 divisions were all Wurttemberg)
I would hope they can field a corps in the game

They marched with the Austrians in 1814 too as I recall. But their troops would be real conscript by then.

I know a lot of game rules rate them high. But there reputation was uneven with some excceptions in 09 (abensburg) and maybe 12.

As mentiond elswhere ( viewtopic.php?f=69&t=33169 ) Wurttemberg, Bavaria and Saxony will have their own list (3 each?) covering various periods.

Note- Wurttemberg in 1809 was a mixed Corps (8th) with 1 Inf Div & 1 Cav Div. Napoleon had originally considered adding the French Division commanded by Dupas to the Wurttembergers as well but instead kept it as part of his reserve forces. Would make an interesting "what-if" had he had allocated Dupas as intended.

I posted a reply yesterday to you but its seems to have gone astray or got delayed so if you get two so be it. In brief what you have sounds about right . We have not got separate line grenadiers but I assume you would use those for their guard infantry which we do include ( that's what I have for mine) . There is an 1809 national list for Wurtemberg with all the other types you name and which provides a full Corps for a standard game and which cam provide a division as part of a Saxon Corps or mixed Saxon Bavarian . There is also an 1814 list as someone has already mentioned as part of the Austrian Army of Bohemia . Smaller and less capable it needs up to two Austrian Prussian or Russian Divisions to create a full Corps.

The Wurtembergers are one of my favorite armies of the period.
