iPad - lost all my in-app purchases

I launched the game on my iPad just now to continue my Blitzkrieg France campaign, but all my in-app campaigns are now gone. When I try to go to Blitzkrieg France, it asks my to purchase it in-app again. If I do this, won't I be charged another $10? I think the game may have been updated and that's why I lost everything?
Please let me know what to do. I have my receipt via iTunes that shows what I paid for.
Thanks

Hi Krondor
no you will not be charged again so just repurchase (Make sure you are logged in with the Apple ID that purchased originally). iTunes is a mystery to everyone. I think its based on some very old code that doesn't work too well anymore and is held together with sticky tape! We have to do a lot of trial and error to get thigns working - often completely different things from one attempt to the next. From time to time iTunes just wipes out what is on the iPad for reasons of its own!

On this point - did you notice when they disappeared? Was it after synchying the iPad with the PC/Mac?

When the new iPad version is downloaded (support to retina iPad 3), also the users campaigns (community scenarios) are gone and it is necessary to download them again. Have you planned a way to avoid it?.

The only way to avoid that is to have them in the package but that makes the base package about triple the size and means no way to add new ones as they are available.
I'll ask Phil but I don't think this is solvable because of the way the App store works and updates things.

Well, I owe a lot of iPad apps that are upgraded and kept their add ons, saved files, etc, so it should be a way.

In that case we must be doing something wrong - I've passed to Phil to investigate!

We are currently using the Cache folder for the various files the game generates. I thought it would be more forgiving if the system ran low on disk space etc, but the flushing by the system seems to be a lot more vigorous than the documentation led me to believe. We will be switching to the app Documents folder in the next update which should solve these issues.
Cheers

Thank you Pip, I think this is the correct choice.

How many scenarios (wich ones) where included in the original purchase.
I didn't play this for a while and had to pay for a few scenarios (yes money was transfered from my account)
that I don't remember if they where already payed for.

The main game includes the Tutorial, Desert, Normandy, and Bulge campaigns, as well as a few smaller skirmish campaigns. The Blitzkrieg France, Market Garden, and Sealion campaigns are in-app purchases.
If you have already purchased an in-app purchase you will not be charged again for the expansion, and the purchase process will confirm this.
Cheers
