German 30 Regt at Normandy

I am doing a Normandy D-Day scenario and have the German 352 ID and the 716 ID located but a few maps are referring to a German 30 Regt in the area just south of Omaha beach, too. I cannot find what division this regiment is part of. It is listed as part of the 18 ID on the Axis History site but that division was on the East Front from 1943. One map indicates it to be a motorised or panzergrenadier regiment. It's not a deal-breaker for the scenario but I am curious. Cheers

Yes i read that also served on eastfront till 45 surrender, but i did notice that the regiment also consisted of a PAK unit,Recon unit, medical, even clerical, perhaps the pak unit/recon were drawn for atlantic defenses.I.E 30th detachment . just a possibility

Seems they were 'mobile' in that they were bicycle mounted!
