Quick start questions

Just preping for a game on Saturday:
Unit formations - just confirming - cavalry and French infantry can't form line - only Austrian infantry? I assume that is an 1813 conscript thing preventing conscripts from forming line?
Movement: Austrian infantry move 4MU. Presumably because they are in line - so do they go 6MU if in column? (If there is no movement difference, then I assume that Austrians will generally spend the game in line, as there is no obvious incentive to form column otherwise).
How many units: Cavalry can't attack infantry in the field - presumably this means the walled field? I also note that cavalry and artillery can move through the building and walled field without penalty?
Reacting to being charged: it states that "Infantry may reform into tactical if in square..." Tactical means a battalion in 2x2 column?
How far do units fire: Infantry may fire up to 6MU. But then it states that infantry may fire up to medium range which is 4MU, and only artillery can fire at long range. Huh? Can infantry fire at more than 4MU or not?
How do I win the game?: What is a LOC? (Presumably, line of communication? But is it represented by a base of some sort of what?)
Firing: are Grenzers skirmishers? (the chart 'To-Hit Score' has both Grenzers and skirmishers). In which case, are Light Infantry and Jagers also skirmishers?
The charts have -1 Cohesion, -2 Cohesion, etc. But how many cohesion losses make a unit disordered, wavered, broken, and destroyed?
What is the difference between a Skilled and a Competent commander?
What is the difference between an Irregaulr and a Drilled unit?
The Austrians have two Line infantry units. But they have different pictures for them.
And Austrian battalions were huge - I presume this taken into account in the main rules?
Do the attached artillery bases represent battalion guns? And where do you measure the firing for the artillery from the infantry battalion?
What do Rifles do?
Cheers
Paul
