Note I had started this campaign prior to the latest round of changes in my mod, so there's no exp penalty for upgrading units outside of family, and bombers/artillery aren't more expensive, etc.

I paste it from another post:
Deducter - maybe you could make some "school" video, that would explain how the game's mechanics work, like you do with you DLC AAR's?
If it comes to the tactics, I've always prefered to learn it the hard way, from my own mistakes. But I don't have enough patience to go through all the game's mechanics, unit parameters etc. I know from my gaming experience how should I play, but I don't really know why the things work the way they do. Some theory on this would be nice
Maybe you could start some video Panzer Corps Academy? You can already find on the youtube the lectures of the best and most famous universities, so maybe it's time to go ahead with that kind of project?

I do comment on various game mechanics from time to time in my videos, although it would take a long time to find them since I just record and post everything. I only comment on the mechanics if the situation comes up.
I really think the best way to illustrate these mechanics is just to play the game, and seeing how I do things and how I think about a situation should be quite informative. You can even watch a scenario's video after you played it, and maybe skip ahead a few minutes here or there to critical points.
Perhaps in the future I will cull a few select scenes from my videos where I explain a mechanic, and compile those into "lessons." This may be the best way to do so.
The real fun begins with Vyazma and Moscow in this year, and the many scenarios in 1942. I don't think too many lessons are needed up until then.

Yes, that would be a good idea.

I had some technical difficulties during this scenario, the frame rate is very low. Apologies for this.

Unfortunately, I accidentally did not record the audio for this scenario. The good news is that I fixed the frame rate issue, finally.

Having watched all deducter's videos, some, like Eben Emael and Modlin Fortress more than once, I would like to thank him for making me a much better player. I look for the possibilities of surrender now, find the Recon units incredibly useful for capturing multiple objectives and always try to back up my positions with artillery. I now win scenarios with 4-5 turns to spare in many cases and am saving a huge amount on prestige. Whereas my high point in my first playthrough was about 10k prestige, I am currently at 22k up to Novgorod and steadily climbing.
Following are a list of some of my favorite 'deducterisms from the videos:
"Best to proceed cautiously."
"eyagh!"(sic)
"Dah de dah!"
"Interesting, I don't remember that unit there."
"It's time to take some risks."
"I may very well regret this later."
Thank you again, deducter. I only wish you would explore some of the alternate paths in the campaign at the same time, such as the Kiev variant versus the Leningrad variant. I am currently doing this myself in order to compare how my core units and prestige do in order to get some idea of the relative difficulty of the two courses.

This concludes GC41. Feedback welcomed. I'm going to have to take a break for a bit, probably 1-2 weeks, before I post GC42.

Looks like a perfect play of that scenario.
You didn't steamroll the whole map, thus setting up the very historical siege of Leningrad. Works as intended!
But it looks like you missed out on the Easter Egg in that scenario!

Wait a second, there is an easter egg in the Leningrad scenario? You are going to have to elaborate!
