i saw the city name is vilna in the vanilla game, but shouldnt it be Vilnius?

Hard to say. Vilnius is the present day name. If the game is reflecting WWII period it should be called Vilna or even Wilno.

Place names in Eastern Europe were and are highly political, reflecting competing claims on the territory. "Vilnius" is the Lithuanian name; using it implies that the city should belong to Lithuania, whether an independent Lithuania or the Lithuanian SSR. "Wilno" is the Polish name, and using it implies the city really should be part of Poland (this was a major international dispute in the interwar period). In the interwar period, "Vilna" was considered a "neutral" label. So from a German perspective, with the ultimate disposition of the city still in doubt, it would most likely have been labeled Vilna or Wilna, depending on the cartographer's orthographic preferences.
