Are there any lists for the British and Americans in North America?

I think this was discussed before and the problem is that the figure scale in the rules does not lend itself to the smaller actions in Canada etc.

thanks but some rules sets allow you to scale the system for smaller battles. I was curious if this set does the same.

The core set of rules is designed for a single Corps with 15-20000 a side. The US war of 1812 is too small for that scale.
People have speculated on the forum about scaling down the size of the units, to fight smaller battles, and I'm sure that it will work. We're in favour of people modifying the rules to suit themselves or the armies that they wish to use - Just don't expect to turn up to a competition and pit your 1812 Americans against the Grand armee.

Still not sure why not Terry. In both A&M & R you can field relatively small armies for the period against bigger armies. Conquistador Spanish for example.

We have tried to stear away from that scenarion. If we were to include all of the smaller engagements the requirement for additional lists increases enormously. We already have about 140 lists in the 2 later books. It's been an interesting time trying to ensure that the list have a similar sized minimum start-point, but also have enough of a maximum (of over 800pts) so that they provide for a variation in how player can design them.
Saying that - we'll happily support anyone wishing to design their own lists. We may even post them on our web site for you, but you'll need permission from the organisers to include them in a competition.
