Shock troops and charging

Hi,

If a BG of shock troops is within charge distance of enemy but part of the battle group is behind another unit ie LF and would have to move through/burst through the LF to reach enemy is a test required to restrain them or because of the interpenetration issues no charge is possible so no test required?

They have to test unless the enemy are all skirmishers. (See section on troops charging without orders). If they fail, they burst through the LF.
