You cant charge thru LF can you ?
Your turn they interpenetrate thru your keils
YOU GET shot up by the tercio
In their turn you get shot again
Then you charge in with not enough pike ranks and lose

Gotta work out how to fight tercios with valious french

Firstly, stop messing about with skirmishers in front of your keils - they're just slowing things down, not providing cover.

Secondly, use your keils in tens or fourteens and five deep so they can afford losses on the way in.

Thirdly, use Swiss DF if you can - the 4" movement means they don't have to take more than one round of shot from Arq or short range Musket.

Fourthly, use your skirmishers to slow up his mounted while the keil rush their targets.

I have valois french with shot armed skirmishers so 1525 onwards
As far as i can see swiss and lansnecht wore pretty identical clothing
at this period so my lansnecht will morph into swiss .
Might do a few stands with swiss flags.
