Downloading: Update Information from Server #1

Hi there,
Just downloaded bought game and thought I would first check for updates as noticed v100 compared with updated versions mentioned online. Received after a few minutes an error message: Error: Update information for Panzer corps could not be downloaded. Please contact matrix Games for help.
Now, having been on the Matrix games merry-go-round many years ago I am hesitant to do as instructed. Is there a simple patch I should download to make this version current? Apologies if you have already answered this on the forum but could not find an answer. BTW...am wargamer of old and if not for the trial version would not have considered this remake of a classic.
