Two questions

i) a "superior" mounted knight unit is charging an "average" longbowmen unit in the open without stakes. Both units are steady. The odds given on "impact" are 68-13. Do these odds include the support fire for the archers? If not, what are the actual odds?

ii) you have an "average" mounted knight unit that you decide to make a "troop" commander. My understanding is that this means that the unit is upgraded to "superior" - but is it upgraded in all respects? What is the auto-rout level for this unit now? And if the commander is killed, does the unit revert back to "average", in all respects? That is, the auto-rout level now becomes 55%.

Thanks for any help with this?

The odds for support are included if you attack from the 2 front hexes of a foot archer unit. If you attack the flank, they don't get the fire support, so it's easy to notice the change in odds if you can charge both front and flank.

Ok, thanks. I have just checked it and the odds for attacking the flank of an archer unit (as above) is 85-4.

Commanders in a BG should only "up a level" the BG( ie average to superior) in terms of quality re-rolls, so it doesnt ( or at least shouldnt) effect the auto rout threshold.
